Ark wont download mods

The Xbox Play Anywhere version of ARK: Survival Evolved was supposed to be officially released to the Windows Store Thursday for Windows 10 PCs after nearly a year of delays. A server apparently needs a mod,, but steam/armk won't download it or install it, it's probably a MB or 2, and still it's stuck on "installing 1 mods" Delete the mods folder in ark\shootergame\content Delete the AppManifest file from the \steamapps\ folder with the App ID of Ark Then load the game and it should now download the mods. In steam, do the following: in the top drop down menus go to "View" then click "Settings". The settings window will open, there click the tab "Downloads". At the bottom you should have a checkbox named "Allow downloads during gameplay" which needs to be checked for ark (and other games) to be able to download mods e.t.c. while the game is running. TO PLAY A MOD OR CUSTOM MAP. To download mods or maps, simply go to ARK's Steam Workshop page and click "Subscribe" on the item you'd like to get.. Then in-game while playing ARK, you'll automatically see the name of that map or mod appear in the "Host / Local Play" menu, potentially after a brief delay while the content downloads in the background. This video was mainly made for my sister who has not idea how to do this and forces me to do it every 5 seconds.
